Caved in mass beliefs for you to acknowledge
Yet I can sense I’m not what you search for.
Drew that proscribed hexed card
You once threw away without my consent.
Walls that restrain, so many words to expel
I am tangled with depression and fear;
I am frightened at the thought of permanent invisibility,
For you have daunted away my bravery.
Overdosed those moments that felt so close,
Because I always knew I was just too far.
And by minutes of longitude I knew, this rope somehow would break
All that truly mattered before we forgot who we were.
My presence it’s insignificant, honestly I don’t know why I even try
When you scarcely ever mention my name, or even know I truly exist.
Standing by your side seemed to be the best seats in the house,
Because I know I have no claim on you now….

And this is the story of my life.
Very well written, sis. I loved every word. Especially this part:
-Caved in mass beliefs for you to acknowledge
Yet I can sense I’m not what you search for.
Drew that proscribed hexed card
You once threw away without my consent.
