Shadows sway and dance
Across the moonstruck wall
Striking fear as they rise
And relief as I see them fall.
Mother doesn't see them
Father says I've lost
If they want me they will get me
At any given cost.
Mother says he's joking
Monsters are not real
But I've seen them and I know
My soul they want to steal.
They call out to me
When I am all alone
In my once sacred room
I hear their horrid tone.
A shrieking pitch the pierces
Echoes through your ears
A sound that you will hear
Even after many years~

I wrote this one about a week ago but never posted it on AllPoetry...kinda got inspiration from the movie Darkness Falls.
