To Say

I feel cold

[Like I've been doused in a shower
of ice cold, mind numbingingly so,
cold water]

and I don't know what to feel.

The pain drips out of my words
and pours out of my mind
and onto the page where I begin
and fail to articulate
some sort of rational
meaningful response

But I can't
So i just sit there and stare

and wonder
what it is you
want me to
say.
