I step outside the gate
That holds me prisoner
In my own estate.
The grounds are smiling,
But my aura’s crying.
These tears on my face
Are the rain that for I pray.
I hold out my arms
As I shout, loud and clear
My plea for justice,
For not to feel fear.
I open my eyes
And then I see
That the world I created
Is just as mean.
The wind is howling!
The rain is pouring!
The thunder booms!
The lighting strikes!
But the storm has just begun.
The wind whips my hair around
Whistling to me in warning,
That I should backtrack now,
Before I bring more misery onto myself.
I do not listen,
For I am frozen in place.
I made the worst decision
That I could possibly make.
I step back inside the large iron gate,
No wonder they keep me locked inside;
If this is how I screw up everybody’s fate.
So now I’ve made up my mind, I’ll forever abide.
To whatever I’m told, even if what I’m told are lies.
I open my eyes
And then I see
That the world I created
Is just as mean.

Great job on the picture!!
I step back inside the large iron gate,
No wonder they keep me locked inside;
If this is how I screw up everybody’s fate.
So now I’ve made up my mind, I’ll forever abide.
To whatever I’m told, even if what I’m told are lies.
Nicely written!! Thanks for entering and good luck
