Out my window Halloween fades,
decorations turn to none.
The air is cool, the shade is dull,
amongst the dying sun.
For as the season clatters on,
winter comes to view.
Thanksgiving fast approaching,
in Novembers transitional hue.
But as the summer sun dies down,
my school year progresses.
I cannot help to wonder off,
to think of life’s distresses.
To think of what our next “great” leader,
will bring into my life.
To ponder on society,
of its great and of its strife.
I think about the men and women,
who die with every day.
Fighting for something I don’t know,
will ever justify their stay.
I think of this planet,
and what its come to be.
And our role is its people,
for I simply cannot see.
Beyond the fog and smoke,
I look at nature so undone.
I cannot help to shed a tear,
for the sake of we’ve done.
And as these thoughts keep coming,
enclosing my mind and soul.
I try to see a future,
past this awful toll.
But all I see is my unborn children,
buried in my waste.
And how I wish on this first of November,
to undue my own haste.
I wish to have a voice,
and lend it to this time.
I wish to seek the power,
all wonderful and divine.
I wish to call to God,
to ask him for his rain
On behalf of humanity,
God please wash away this pain.
Author notes
I know this is long and random but I was trying to convey all my thoughts.
