I saw you in the hall.
I saw you walk right by.
I tried to stand tall,
But I couldn't even say hi.
I waited for you there,
Without out knowing why.
I was really kind of scared,
I almost started to cry.
Nervousness took over,
And I wanted you to see.
You shouldn't be with her,
Because she can't make you happy.
I wish you would understand,
To see what we could be.
Next you came and took my hand.
Then you smiled at me, finally.

Ive been in a similar situation but my fiancee wanted my attention when I was dating another woman. It worked too. Thoughts are more powerful than actions if one is patient. Good luck in the contest!
