Now’s the time for storing
Ominous can be the sky
Voracious can blow the winds
Even stray flurries may fly
Mindful is the wise soul
Bedded down with lots to spare
Early can come the winter
Rueful are those caught unaware

Thanks for the kind words.
Especially true for our friends outside. We get long cold winters where I'm from.

I have the image of chipmunks gathering food for the winter months, scurrying in trees as they store. Or even the grasshopped and the ant....
Thank you for entering and good luck in the contest.
