rest she said. and it was the most wonderful of words he had ever heard.
and he rested.
resting now. a peaceful dream.
visiting landscapes the day eye can't see.
attuned to frequencies dimensional
what is real is a miracle to mind
then a deep breath, awakening
a sound breaks through
the alarm clock of course, now that's reality.
much work to do in the 9 to 5.
but that deep and welcoming landscape of dreams,
well, that's reality too
to rest
somehow that is the bridge
and so i will rest
and meet you on the bridge

Ah, the wonders of the subconscious mind,
drifting off, taking us on adventures,
seeing a peaceful world, building
tall towers to the sky,
prompting the
conscious
mind...

say i've got an idea - let's get some border collies to round up all the people we don't like and we can shove them off the bridge .... yikes, that wasn't very peaceful. i better get some more sleep ~

Tranquil...well until the reality of life stepped in.

There is a person I'd like to meet on the bridge...and then there are several I'd like to see fall off that bridge and into the water below.
But in that dream life...that bridge seems like a nice place to be...and an interesting symbol I think. It spans that dream world to the real one...tranquility and the day-to-day crud spanned...and you know...there is hopefully that bridge...the difficulty is finding it...I think I need a guide dog.

I like the image of a bridge as a meeting point. It's like two people taking steps together.
The dreams, ah those always stay even long after sunrise, lingering while we go on with daily stuffs.
Very soothing images you have here. I enjoyed them

Yes, MG, the soothing-ness of a bridge can stay with us. I like to linger a minute or so on a footbridge in a wooded glen not far from here. Which reminds me, I should go on a walk. And linger a minute or so on the bridge.

You have shared ...
a most interesting aspect of our dream world and the word 'rest' and I liked it ... and the thought of your last line so nice! j

Thanks WD, I'm glad you liked it. It is about the real world of course, and a pleasant little footbridge in a shaded wood just up ahead. And rest, who couldn't use more, but especially so when recovering from all out exhaustion. Whew, where's my pillows??

I love the final verse!
"and so i will rest
and meet you on the bridge"
It makes me think of those who are no longer with us in the waking world but who we can visit in the dreamscape...especially on the bridge.

yes, on the bridge ~

I sense that I become more attuned to thing when I am dreaming...
no barriers or boundaries to impair me
if only we could be that way all the time!

Thank you Moon. Yes, to breach that divide and stay somewhere in the middle might be the answer. I keep working at being more connected to both sides of the mind/heart.
Keep writing Moon. We need your words~ -
-
hmmh, yes, to remain in balance would be ideal
and I have been writing something that actually contains
the mind/heart connection can you believe it?
do you have esp? hehehe
giggles Moony -

Well Moon, all I can say is that sometimes that esp gig can seem kinda of real~
(and as an aside, a couple days ago I was really concentrating, for some reason (I think I was watching tv, but my mind had its own plan) I kept trying to figure out a riddle, and the answer kept being body, mind, soul. The next day I discovered an unexpected correlation. Now this. So -- who knows!)

synchronisities perhaps?
-
-
well, moon, there is definitely something to the idea of synchronicity. exactly what it is i haven't figured out yet. just more of the mystery of life. Like attracts Like~
-
-
I find it all so adventurous
I seem to learn something new everyday
since I bought a computer
what did I ever do without one?
and yes
like does attract like -
-
good for you, learning something new everyday.
you are a special moon~
