Oh God
whatever I maneuver
I make definite that
no one perceives my sinfulness
and I am protected,
by the aftereffects of my acts
and by the outcomes of my intentions
however, if my sin wounded you
I am not secure, then
Oh God...

A cry for forgiveness. You spiritual insight is profound. Loved the way you structured your poem. We all protect ourselves against the world by hiding our sins, but ultimately, we cannot hide from God. Excellent poem!
Congratualations on your Bronze!

This is such a clear lovely poem, and the introspection as well as the look into the spiritual world is very striking. Well done!

"I make definite that no one perceives my sinfulness"...hmmm...seems you perceive your own sinfulness and this is wounding to one's self...does wounding the self count as wounding God?...my mother used to say, 'the road to hell (or perdition or whatever one calls it) is paved with good intentions'...You've written some profound thoughts here, my friend...much to ponder...well done, and I hope it does well in the contest. Peace, Rhonda

That's so true and honest... If our sins hurt God and what he wishes for us to be then we are no longer protected for our only protection, God is now not on our side... beautiful! Loved it!

A solid poem
with a solid message. As my friend said before his death, 'My prayer is that God will continue his forgiveness'. Be blessed. Frans
