Bloodshot pupils of disconcern
Twitching the brittled nails
to each channel that appears before me
Blank static screen
Fabric of the recliner
embedded onto my sand like skin
and into my cognition
Blank static screen
Fluids of crimson
seep from the antenna
and linger from my slits called eyes
Blank static screen
I see the repulsive pigments
of society
my ears cry with cackles of broken clocks
All goes dark
but the blank static screen
Author notes
My muse has came back! Oh I'm so happy. Thank you Radiohead
One of my odd peices, tell me what you think
"You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself"

Bountiful~Beuatiful...
"Blank static screen" glows as it paints a poetic-philosophic feast, where Phoebus and Minerva are self-invited guests.
Keep posting, Poet.
In respect and admiration,

SWEET! i loved this, well written!

Reading this, I picture all the endless nights of restlessness, unable to sleep, lying lethargically on the couch in a lucid state watching t.v. for hours while there is nothing on but reprocessed garbage to be mainlined into my psyche as I wish to lie down and drift into unconsciousness, but for some apathetic reason, refuse to sit up and leave the room.

Wow. This is beyond what words can express. Karma police would make me write too sometimes. However, this poem of yours is not only deep, but very vivid in its imagery. Beautiful! It's poets like you that make me want to write! By the way, which song of Radiohead brought back your muse?? I'm curious

Ah thank you for your kind words! Makes me feel fuzzy

First I listened to Karma Police and after that.. Fake plastic trees.
I was so happy, my muse has been away for a long time! Thanks again for the comment

Don't mention it! I guess it's high time I stop listening to Interpol then for my muse
For some reason, I just can't get it anymore.

Interpol..I don't think I've listened to them. What kind of genre would you consider them? I've been band hunting lately
