I put a smile on this morning,
although it's upside down,
a smile should be showing
but it looks more like a frown.
I decided what to wear
from the wardrobe of my heart,
when I wear a sunshine yellow
happiness plays a part.
Sometimes I wear a sad blue
that welcomes in the gloom,
when I'm in that mood
I'd rather stay in my room.
There's no sense in spreading
anything besides cheer,
I hide for a good reason
when I am feeling fear.
A smile is the best to wear
even when I'm feeling blue,
I share a happy yellow
when I feel a smile that's true.
We can all wear the perfect smile
if we put it on just right,
a warm feeling to show off
that is contagious within sight.
