Alone

She sits alone
Two friends in the room
But she sits alone
In a chair
Rocking back and forth
Remembering
Remembering his promise
Remembering her tears
Remembering his car
Outside the bar
Remembering the yelling
The crashes and the screams
Remembering the grunts and bangs
Remembering her shaking fingers dialing the police
Remembering her handing her family
Over to the people
Her family
Hates most.
