Really don't want to close my eyes,
because there are too many why's
popping up, after moments dark,
on which I have no sane remark.
I see some words play in my head,
that I not spoke, but should have said,
but then, maybe, it was too late
so I surrendered to my fate.
I see a pile of work, not done
and wonder where the time has gone,
when innocence was all I knew,
while strolling through wet morning's dew.
I see a life of truth and lies,
and lemonade and cherry pies.
Welcome kisses and sad goodbeyes,
it is all there, behind closed eyes.
Despite the fact that it is dark,
I always see this little spark,
which makes me grow in my believe,
that what I sow, I shall retrieve.

i feel you didn't let yourself drift away, you need to relax. Don't worry about unsaid words or undone chores, there is always a tomorrow. Even tho, this poem is good and the rhyme makes it catchy. God work.
Best of luck
