From the roses that are cared for,
to bloom for you all of the season,
the garden soil turned in the late fall,
to provide delights to share at our table.
The walks by the river through all the seasons,
to touch and talk and love for all the good reasons,
to treat you with my secret BBQ delight,
to the romantic dinners by candlelight.
From the buttered popcorn in the theatre,
to the candy floss of all the fairs,
shopping hand in hand in the marketplace,
showing one another all our loving cares.
Laughing and playing like lovers shall do,
crying and holding through pains we live through,
the sweet kiss in the morning that warms my day,
please don’t ever take my sunshine away
