i.
In moments of sullenness
a faint whimper seeps from lips
like mystic fog
An abysmal fate sliced
sprinkled with dolor grit;
igniting nerve endings
into flames of failure
Enslaved in hopeless ruins--
a bare-back scourged
leaving bloody welts
ii.
To rely on walls
bruised shoulders
busted knuckles
and resolution escaped
right between happy times
and timeless seize
peeling the scab--
as become habitual
the itchy crust of healing
a deception now innate
iii.
To ascend from lifeful demise
an enlightenment long sought
balanced on the palm of God
praiseful arms stretched
in the breeze of unity--
highs and lows
and know the fallacy of loss

Does each one correspond?
loss to i, so forth and so on. Your points do not seem to match up to the title. Are the three interconnected?

beautifully expressed thoughts on change, loss and gain. My best to you in the contest. blessings always ~Trisha~

Wow !! An excellent write.
"....igniting nerve endings
into flames of failure"
"Enslaved in hopeless ruins..
a bare-back scourged
leaving bloody welts"
Strong wording giving depth to the emotion/feeling.
