Do we ever ask why only the young believe in magic.
As we move through life reaching for goals,
that in the end mean nothing.
Who has programmed us?
Are we the chosen species?
And if so how can we be so blind?
Hours, weeks, years spent achieving.
But in that last hour it is not enough
Finality the same. It never changes.
But I question this reality.
Knowledge attained by the human mind.
What is it we really are, light , flesh, dust and a star?
Is there a benevolence that carries us into the future?
Or are we just dust in the wind?
But I have my magic. It exist for me.
A signature written in the heavens.
A crescent of wonders awaits
The exalting of Larks
It is love. Just open your eyes

you set a lot of minds deep in thought with this. the tone in which it is written sets the thinking process in motion. the way you answer the questions from your prospective, sends the mind even deeper in thought. could it really be that simple? another great. you just keep them coming don't you?

we should all believe in magic, no matter how young or old. live life with a full heart and dream... and there is love, just open your eyes

-
Bravo on this one
We are but a grain of sand in this hourglass of time each with our own dna for the puzzel to be rejoined in time

-
I don't believe in magic because there is a God who doesn't need to use magic. Nice poem interesting and not too cliche.
-
You have a very intriguing and thought provoking poem. It leaves the reader asking himself for examples of the answers. It is my belief that even though the end is always inevitably the same, we have a choice, either experience life or watch it go by. As long as we are here we might as well enjoy the time. Great write poet.

I am the sun of man
the star in the sky and the sparkle in the child's eye and in time dust of memories long gone.

Your thoughts in words come alive with the word Love.. It is the magic word...Even in the spiritual realm, it was love that brought us hope and a solution to mankind's desperate state...and it is love shown to one another that gives hope to us all..Divine love, and the love that radiates from our lives as you said our hearts given in love to others is a gift...A tremendous write, dear friend!

Question
But I question this reality
What is it we really are, light , flesh, dust and a star?
It is love. Just open your eyes
My favourite lines.... so many questions and answer we can pluck at random,The young believe in love because their innocence precludes age
and for a while they remain un-touched.

-
It is magic, and how fantastic it is.
Stunning piece.

-
Outstanding
What is it we really are, light , flesh, dust and a star?
This is such a powerful poem. You question the world and find an answer, a spirtual haven of love. One of the best poems I have read for a while. Simply brilliant.

-

Well done!
I love poetry that causes me to think and to consider the meaning of life. If "God is love," as the scriptures tell us, then to be touched by love is to be touched by the divine. What we do for love, no matter how irrational, we do for God, in whatever form God takes. Love is what gives meaning to our existance.

-
Love is all that really matters. We work, we strive, we educate ourselves, we seek answers to unanswerable questions, and in the end only love endures.

-
Questions that have been asked for all of mankind. In the end.. it is just love that matters.

-
Well done on this fine piece of poetry.
Lots of questions that fill the mind with wonder
And is it for a reason or not so much.
My eyes are open but they are still blind
Best of wishes to you my friend.

Tony
