God has given us a silver platter of sugar,
Of the sweetest things you’ve ever tasted.
Small treats of love
And all you have to do is choose.
Enter this candy shop of life
And find the perfect sweet for you from the pile.
Rip off the sealed wrapper with your teeth
And start on your journey into bliss.
I, on the other hand, have found my bonbon of delight.
You inhale mine and you’ll smell sweet oranges
As if they were peeled fresh from the tree
Which had been basking in the Florida sun.
Cover your nose with it a moment longer,
And instead of tang, you will smell chocolate
As if the cocoa beans had been grounded
Into a batch of sweet butter right before your eyes.
Finally, slip the treat past your lips
And clutch your jaw tightly past the bitter taste,
A sense unappetizing
Yet so irresistible to stop experiencing.
Wait a moment, and do you taste it?
A sweetness so strong, it out lashes any exotic fruit,
Any smile formed on a lover‘s lips,
Any whispers of love that may escape their mouth.
Yes, my candy sends shivers of pleasure down my spine,
An acceleration of impossible content.
Amazing, isn’t it, how one day you will find a candy
That’s swirled and blended in with all of your desires?

Inspired by My Love, for he is the sweetest thing I have ever tasted.
