Cloak of white descends on earth,
angels cradle all to sleep,
all is quiet and tranquil,
preparation for life's renewal.
Crisp footfalls feel the wonder
of a warmth held underneath
as snowflakes drift on softly down
hands feeling tender peace.
In silence is exuberance
as Winter's hands envelop all.
