Looking at the waves crashing upon the shore
Reminds me of the tears flowing down my face
I tried so hard to find a saving grace
I want so bad to kiss you again
But until then I can only
Hold the memories of you close to keep me warm
On the nights I can’t fall asleep in your arms
It hurts to think that god knows when I’ll see you again
Knowing I can’t even hear your voice
Saying you love me and miss me too
The pain is enough for me to want it to end
To just give up and pretend I don’t care
But I know that without you I can’t live
I’ll never love like this again
Wishing even the sun could keep me warm
But nothing can accomplish what only your love brings
The happiness in my heart can’t be diminished
I want nothing more to wake in your arms
For I cannot sleep without your touch
I lay awake counting seconds as they turn into months
