Hurricane Season

Missing image
land of wind and fog
waits in stifling silence
now I can not sleep
no evening winds to sooth me
as my house sings her duet

    - the hazy swirls of smoke-ridden mother nature are blown into the waiting game, where silence strikes silence with aplomb. a good poem.

It's beautiful, hun, and congrats on the well-deserved Gold! Annoying critic says: what is the purpose of the comma? Is it important in the meaning? I think it breaks the rhythm, but I'm probably missing something.

The sound of the wind, building up in momentum with the hurricane, all these thoughts within your tanka. I enjoyed you ending, very descriptive and full of meaning, thank you so much.
