clocks fall back an hour
who will be there to catch them
I will be asleep
the extra hour gained in fall
will be recalled in the spring
Author notes
I don't like them messing with my clocks, I don't like Daylight Waste of Time.

An excellent tanka about the time change, I enjoy the reflection that we recall it in the spring. Thank you so much!

I love a good daylight saving. I need to be saving somewhere it sure isn't in my pocket lol. Wonderful humour. Best to you in the contest

I really like this tanka ... the idea behind it is wonderful - I hate daylight savings too ... but generally because it means that now when I drive home the sun is right in my eyes - as opposed to behind the hills
self-centered I know ...
this is a beautifully written tanka and I wish you the best in the contest!
Keep writing
Polly

this is great!! I so agree with you, we all should be like Hawaii. they don't change their clocks ever and that would be so much less confusing.
