A vision I see inside my head;
Draperies of flesh, black, white and red.
Following them: other colors of skin;
All my brethren, devoid of sin.
Their bodies are new, with a new secret;
Borne of a promise that God has kept.
He gives to His own such with a laugh,
Having been caught up in grace’s draft.
From the world we’re finally shorn,
Living His Age as barely born.
We shout and we praise as if no one sees us,
The secret shone in, the glory of Jesus.
Oh, my Lord, the colors are bright,
My new eyes can bare this new sight.
Yet they’re wet with praise for You,
These Nations show how You are true!
They are variegated, as is Your grace.
With many faces made in Your face.
Their beauty surges, for they are pure.
They stand on Your sea, their stance is sure.

“…I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.
Now when He (Jesus) had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying:
‘You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.’”--Revelation 5:6-10
I hate racism. I believe so does the Lord. An age-old slap in His face is hating those the good Lord has made. Racism is born of fear and hatred, through ignorance.
I even have a problem with the word "race". I prefer the word "ethnicity". The only race the Lord is interested in saving is the human race, with it's beautiful "variegation" of skins.
My Lord, You're such an artist!
Many have tried to impose on certain verses in the Bible that certain "races" are cursed. In the 16 years of my having read my Bible from cover to cover I see nothing saying that.
Even if so, the curse was taken away in Jesus. He became our curse.
What a boring heaven it would be if there was only one skin color in glorified bodies. I have yet to see the Lord be a bore.
I wept writing this. If you only saw what I saw in my head! Whoa!

This is a lovely little piece of poetry.
We should all find love in the light of Him.
Thanks for the entry.
Best of wishes to you.

Bravo!
I'm in shock! Every line, every word just inspires me! AS my own eyes become wet. Beautifully written! Just another of your pieces that blow me away! My poetry next to yours seem so elementary. I still have a lot to learn about poetry and about God.

Honored by Your Comment
My writing improved by leaps and bounds by reading the many awesome writers here on this site. I think that helps anyone greatly; allow oneself to be exposed to the various levels of talent one can in such a site as this.
Of course we know how to learn about the Lord. Read His Word and walk with Him.
May the Lord strengthen your resolve to do both of these things.
Amen?
Thank you and God bless!

Love this!
The poem is magnificent & the background is so fitting! He made us all & loves us all & wants all to come to Him. People that see any race above another don't get the main purpose of The Bible which The Savior stated in reiteration of the Royal Law. Love Elohim with all your heart, your mind & your strength."Love your neighbor as yourself. On this stand all the Law and the prophets!" All the best in the Contest!

More should read these words of beauty
much of the beauty we will never see is the beauty we have to offer each other with our love for another. Some to silly to know the joy of anoher that is different than them. How can one color in a book if there is only one color. How can one enjoy every thing if they can't enjoy everybody...mac
