Windsong and the Willow

A whisper through the mighty oak
that stirs the mind to fantasy,
and then within the brumous breath
wind sings his song, that's just for me.

The notes now with crescendo rise,
and whip my leaves in jocund dance,
his wild caress through bending boughs
will leave this willow in a trance.

Wind wraps around my supple limbs,
his fingers touch my gleaming bark,
and then he calls the tempest's clouds,
my trunk  summits to form an arc.

Then his passion is sated, spent,
His song becomes a lullaby,
it's then he softly slips away
into an azure summer sky.

This is beautiful rhyme and rhythm here and the thoughts expressed in this are gentle and soft. Good luck although I know no one rhymes quite as well as you do. C

    Poetic Brilliance

How appropriate and a clever take on the contest title. Not to mention its title is one I adore even more. You know? I had sit outside resting after laboring for hours collecting, mulching and bagging leaves .Thinking to my self, how sexy trees are. Ha! But,strange as it seems, they kinda are in fact.
This splendid metaphoric piece exemplifies them in almost humanistic qualities so very well. I know I'm a bit strange in saying trees are alluring. But some have sensual smooth bark, others burley rough as a masculine face. Ok,the cat's out of the bag now! I find it soothing to love nature and be in part /part of it so much.Yet I digress, sorry. This will and is one of my favorites by you. And it's only a heartbeat away now from a bookmark proving it.
