A Christian Halloween

All Hallows Eve has come to us
With candy, fun, and treats
Come now and join us, proceed thus:
Don’t give doorknockers beets.

Tonight good wholesome fun for all
Is found at every door.
But keep an eye on Adam’s fall
And listen to its lore.

A day like this has people rife
With evil, death, and sin.
It causes mankind so much strife,
And men to turn to gin.

But still this day gives chances to
The Christian preaching grace
To preach good words, to speak anew
the way to sin erase.

For Christ alone we ought to act,
Though this is far too rare.
His resurrection is a fact;
For Christ we ought to dare

So in this day, will you proceed?
Will you take up your cross?
Will you speak to a world in need?
Will you dare risk the loss?

I pray that God gives you his power
And calls you to his fame;
That you shall praise him ever hour
And glorify his name.
