The Tale of the Sea

Missing image
I

Elves sing of an ancient tale of the sea
Long before the historic war of hate
A time when pixies, dwarves and elves were free
When the fertile land and the sea would mate

The envious sun kissed the sea stealing rain
Hot passion steam rose forming smoky clouds
The land quaked violently raging pain
Volcanic smoke blackened the earth in shrouds

The dwarves, children of earth, hid down below
The elves, offspring of sea, escaped to trees
To clouds pixies flew turning rain to snow
The seasons changed by pixies shifting breeze

The land and sea produced grains and flowers
The sun scorched but pixies sent cold showers

II

Like bloody tears, rivers flowed to the sea
The moon made tides for land and sea to meet
The sun repented from rash jealousy
He ceased from scourging land with jealous heat

The land and sea lived in peaceful accord
The sun warmed land as moon cared for her sea
Each night the sea kissed, caressed and adored
Upon the sand lovers bonded with glee

The sand was molded and shaped into man
He rose naked, ashamed, empty alone
The sun raged again and new war began
The moon churned up the sea to a cyclone

Land split dividing into many parts
The sea and land both raged from broken hearts

III

Under safe ground the dwarves and elves convened
They took man and put him into deep sleep
In hushed whisper they plotted and they schemed
To bring a mate to cause the moon to weep

From man’s red heart, the dwarves ripped out a piece
Elves crushed the heart and mixed it with man’s tears
From it, they formed woman to bring earth peace
They woke the man and gave her without fears

Nude flesh bonded under the watch of moon
Two bodies yielded together as one
Pixies played a romantic lovers tune
Moon cried and gave her love to the hot sun

Trees lifted branches of praise to the sky
Clouds cut wood ships so on waves man could fly
