we each must dance alone
no own else can own our soul
there is one song
meant only for our ear
one dance we dance
for pure joy alone
one song where
every note we own
our actions for which
only we can atone
like seeds scattered
never sown
and yet when death.
as our partners hand we take
our spirit dances onward
from one life to the next.
as content with in our selves
we may be, we dance onward
ever dancing, turning, spinning
spinning through eternity
to my solitary dancer
we dance alone and yet together
embracing the pressure
we dance alone and yet together
my song that I alone can sing
reaches you by angel wings
the dance you dance for you alone
echo's through my blood and bone

This explains ALOT. So much is in these lines. Self awareness yes. So important to our growth, and yet I resist change, and being so isolated, solitary.
Annie, this is wonderful, so true, and now I know what you mean, absolutely. Still, as one who dances by myself most of my life, I shall not miss the toecrushing, the heady spinning.
not Now anyway
.
You are my beacon, so strong, so knowing, and so humble about it. This has been listed, as one who knows what path Im walking, I could not help but think you were writing this upon the walls of my broken heart. I welcome it.
Love,

I find a hint of farewell, here, a recognition of our essential aloneness even when we share love, and especially when our love (or we) must take the dancing to the next life. Beautifully written and a very good read.

I love the way you phrased this. It's so accurate, but I've never been able to word it so presice, accurate, and true to nature, of all who follow the solitair path.
From the begining to end your heartfelt imigary and descriptions bring to light, what it's truely like to be a solitary practitioner.
Blessed be
