sits up in his room
always on his laptop
always on the move
From one site to the next
signing in and out

moving all about
First he checks the quiz site
no new friends today
then he checks his Facebook
he left it on "Away"
Next he checks his My Space
1 comment or 2
a quick look on All Poetry
but still he isn't through
Now he gets on Yahoo,
AOL, and MSN
looking for a comment,
a new invite, or new friend,
For messages, or bulletins,
a "hi," "hey," or "hello"
but nothing does he find
no matter where he goes
he checks the forum site
he checks all the IM's
he checks the little guestbooks
on websites he has built
As he sees the emptiness
a tear falls down his face
no one seems to care for
