eagle feathers dress the bow of Apache warriors
counting koo not arrows to kill Author notesThis is an entry to the: Poetic Form: Septolet - Prompt - Native American Word Bank contest. The inspiration for this word bank poem was the custom of not killing one's enemies, but decorating your bow or other possessions with feathers to "count one's koo" showing their bravery. Six words from the word bank are used in this fourteen word poem! The words used are: apache, arrows, bow, eagle, feathers & warriors.
This slightly edited version of this poem, now has seven lines as required to be a "true" septolet! A contest entry
