never again
september would be the same
against hyaline skies
much more is missing
than twin towers:
the dream departed
from the thousand hills
manhattan chills
spired worldwide
announcing endless winters
.

The minimalism of this poem is very good, you have the right words to evoke that day and no more. The title is a place and the sum of who gained and how much. Very well done.

OH my! how powerful! you have given me chills with this. So much power in so few words. My award? or isn't this judged yet? Good luck if it's not as you deserve the trophy in my mind.

Wow, this was a most interesting interpretation of the prompt, one I definately hadn't expected. Well done. Best to you in the contest

Ah yes indeed. Talk about cold hard winds billowing! And I fear more the design of it than meets the innocence eyes. Manhattan feeds on such cold ills I'm afraid to say. But what was the prey, has become the bottom feeders delight.

Although I live (not far) from the prompt site, I have not been, before or since & still, I sense the 'chill, of which you speak.
