14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 tsp each baking powder and baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup water
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
21 oz can Cherry Pie Filling
PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees. In bowl, combine milk, shortening, brown sugar and eggs, mix well. In 2nd bowl, combine dry ingredients, stir into milk mixture until moistened. Add vanilla and water. Stir in chips. Pour into 12 cup fluted tube pan coated with cooking spray.
BAKE 40 min. or until done. Cool in pan 15 min. remove from pan. Cool for 30 min. Spoon some of the cherry filling over the cake. Slice cake and serve with remaining cherry filling. MAKES ONE (10 INCH) CAKE. NOT SURE OF THE NUMBER OF SERVINGS.*
