Happy Thanksgiving

Well daviscth dear you are welcome
To spend Thanksgiving at our house
Bring your family and Grandparents too
Along with your loving Spouse

I have plenty of room for everyone
A long table set in style
So much food for everyone
Some come from many a mile

A lucious big baked Turkey
With all the trimmings too
Stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy
Vegatables and salads for you

Homemade rolls and biscuits
Jam and Jellies devine
Pies and cakes and cookies too
And a relish tray so fine

When everyone is seated at the table
Bow our heads in reverance too
We'll ask Dad to say the prayer
For blessings foreveryone of you

Thanksgiving is a time to share
With family and many friends
And thank our heavely Father
For blessings that never end

Thank you Freed by Mercy. You are welcome to come to dinner. However it will be a little different than my poem. What I described in my poem were dinners the way it used to be when I lived at home and even after marriage. When I moved away there wasn't the family around to have the big dinners with. Now it's just my son and I. If he has been invited out to a friends house for dinner, I tell him to go and I buy my dinner. Now my secret is out. We used to cook Turkey, wild duck (my dad hunted in the fall) and maybe a beef roast. All with the trimmings.

Well, I cook and I have family members around, but not all come. We're usually a small group of 6 to 8 people. You are more than welcome to my small feast! Your feast growing up sounds tremendous!

This sounds so wonderful and wouldn't it be great if we could have a really long table and invite all our ap friends to dinner??
I enjoyed your poem, the rhyme was perfect and the imagery was delightful and even smelled good. Thanks for sharing in my contest.
