Mr. Pumpkin



Carving the pumpkin, chippings lay on the paper scattered all over the table, Eyes and nose with sharp spiky head. I can feel its power being led and taking shape, the character it poses, the smile it makes. ‘I am human and I need to be loved’ I’ve waited too long’. Light my candle, yes, I can see you now, mixing the sweets and candy in the bowl. Lollipops strewn my favourite treat, cherry laced with apple is what I like to eat. I’ll try to float with the power of my mind, Oh no I’m being moved well that’s no surprise. I’ll just wait until you answer the door I’ll get my lollipop moved then for sure. The night draws in and darkness falls, spectres, apparitions ghostly calls, The timing is all I have to move fast those tasty lollipops are not going to last. Mandrake root and pepper seed, need  take it slow, they’ve started to call, wizards, trolls, angel princesses, pirates to all, handfuls of sweets taken and stored, now is my chance to strike at my hoard, here it comes fixating the power, wrappings discard ‘tis the magical hour. Mmmmmm Yummy I’ll soon devour    x x
