tassel-toned moves drip slowly –
a measure of sunlight's residue
an exploration of consequential drizzle
opium stains on a lover's left neck
detected somewhere in a lusty fleck
of pearl posturing, lies beneath
a trickling chant of love drops
to the hungry they are bread and oil
to those who thirst, cool streams,
lilies and dew – the tears of dusk flowers
the sun ferments in flame-leafed sadness
in this season of release
gazing between fractures of phrase
only to slip deeper into nuance
Love Drops

This one is another crazy quilt of ideas. For me, it is not up to a cohesive whole. I like the descriptions individually, but they don't string together in my mind for some reason. Ah well. One can't love them all... ~wink~

Ah...the scales are lifted...it's a collaboration. That explains some things. ~smile~

Mhm! My interest was piqued by your first line and that feeling never really went away. This said as much as it needed to and had a strong presentation value as well. I liked the pick, background, font choice, and, well, everything else. Short comment, but a good one I think. Well done.

I love that picture of the golden heart; I have it myself. I emailed you two others of hearts I imagine you'll like, my Friend.
This is a profoundly moving & obviously intuitive collaboration, a dance between shorelines, a turning of tides, a dip between light & shadow as the moon ascends & declares the night to be hers. A winding, twisting tale of fiery devotion. Brava & Bravo, Scribes. I wish you good fortune in the contest.

ethereal precission...
wow - whoever inspired this deserves kiss embers and heart-shaped love drops. i can think of nowhere else i've ever been the last 3 minutes that would make me leave here in a hurry, but thoughts of where to go in the future are certainly motivational when reading this aloud.

The language is very richly-layered you two. Definitely one to read out-loud. Nice work.
