One rainy day in June,
I walked outside
To spend some time alone.
I had to think.
I walked and walked
And walked some more.
Never realizing
Just where my feet were taking me.
I had my head down,
And my mind was somewhere else.
I walked right down his street,
Thinking of how I felt.
I looked up in time
To see his face.
His eyes piercing
Straight into my soul.
His smile lifted my spirits
And my heart hammered
When I saw he was heading outside.
I couldn't breathe.
He walked towards me
And took my hand in his.
My soaking wet hair was plastered to my face
And he reached up to brush it away.
We walked around this small town,
Speaking softly and smiling to eachother.
Everytime someone came around the corner,
We dropped our hands and hid somewhere.
No one could know
That we were in love.
No one could ever know
That we were together.
We come back to eachother
And he embraces me in a hug.
He whispers, "I love you,"
And kisses my hair.
Our parents don't know about this,
And they can never know.
It's our little secret
And we love to have it.
This secret is ours to keep
And it keeps our love alive.
I always enjoy holding his hand
And having him there beside me.
So every day, especially in the rain,
We come together,
Whisper, "I love you," a million times,
And share our secret love.
