love was captured
in potion bottles
When used...
Lovers become in love
with each other
and
enemies chose peace
rather than war
I remember when
we all said
"Make love
not war..."
We meant it...
Flowers were worn in our hair
beads hung about the neck
and
we smoked grass so to fill the air
making life trouble free
Oh what I wouldn't give
to again

Love potion?...Might've been LSD in those days...I was still too young in any case, but had older brothers who indulged in drugs, sex and rock'n'roll.

where are those potions?
i never had any
the sixties sounded like a great time
although there was a recession/maybe depression
people think that is the end of the world nowadays
because of their precious dollars
that they've so come to love -
