For so long it went unsaid
And now I see the colour red
You told her what I couldn't know
The stream of life must change its flow
Don't kiss her lips and hold her hand
'Cause now that I know where you stand
We can't let this pass us by
I knew each day when we got high
There's something here I know is real
And so for you i'll make a deal
Talk to her and set her straight
I'll be here, you're worth the wait

I really like this, especially the way the simple, effective rhyme works in the last two lines! My only issue is with the length of the 7th line in relation to the ones surrounding it - I know using "cannot" instead of "can't" wouldn't completely fit the tone of the poem, but it would really help the rhythm, which feels kind of choppy there. Overall, lovely work
