Political Perplexity

Through the television a wise man with a smile that shines
Are empty promises really all he defines
Can you listen and discern the lies, between the lines?
Intrusive suits prying ties clutching covert brief cases
Twisted worry discerning the opposing faces
Preaching bogus pacifist principles plans for liberation
Ideals to free this crumbling stumbling bumbling nation
Radically preposterous opinions from each side of debating relations
Stand up, and demand profound logical explanations
Rebuild our fore fathers foundations
For future generations
He says “In the end, that's what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or a politics of hope?”
Broadening your minds eye to translate every deliberation in full scope
Fluctuating perceptions of world events
Frustrated to decipher the immediate problems it presents
Have we forgotten what red, white and blue represents?
So much to think through, and contemplate
Making brains melt down and conjugate
Are you going to be a part of your own fate?
I fear there is more than just our country’s financial security at stake
We need to unite, white collar, blue collar to partake
To avoid declining into the same mistake
Voice rings through the speakers penetrates hearts with the power to excite
Tending smoldering anger ready to ignite
“Do not yield. Do not flinch. Stand up. Stand up with our President and fight. We're Americans. We're Americans, and we'll never surrender.”
Ask yourself who he really thinks is the true evil contender?
Does he really intend to be a peace defender?
Imminent notions that need to render
Weigh your options with virtuous precision
Take pride in our country our people and why you made your decision
Discern the pledge of an unrealistic envision
“No real social change has ever been brought about without a revolution... revolution is but thought carried into action.” An eloquent quote
Morris, Dickinson, Edmund, Sherman, Wilson, Wythe and Madison gave us principle in what they wrote,
Think it over and make your vote
The US needs reconciliation
Get up and make a difference for this nation

very goddamn good, flow throughout and it speaks so clearly to someone cynical, haha eg me. i agree with your views, who REALLY is going tostand up for the white collar once such power has a grip, in reality in my opinion uniting probably is the only answer. very politically correct read and an excellent one at that.
