silently slips away
finally released from colossal suffering
ancient contradictions too painful to endure any longer
mother goddess
asp bite to her perfect breast
reaches delicate fingertips to stroke the ashen face
of her longtime secret lover
blood red lips savouring deep knowledge of eroticism
mystery of death
eyes penetrating each other
swept away by a rush of sexual arousal into the void
in the blink of an eye
children of the gods fall faint to a contagion of heart failure
limp bodies strewn across an idyllic floor of icy abandonment
armies of demigods
angels
demons
align for a final showdown of power succession
heavenly detente collapsing
clashes for control running rampant
haunting romantic melodies fly the sky like cupid's arrows
exotic perfumes
erotic poetry
esoteric marvels
sorcery
seduction spears flung into the fray
hypnotic stares radiating attraction
orgies of dominance
submission
invading all dimensions
unrestrained desires to conquer
pandemonium in a once securely governed domain
yet
no clear victors
only victims victimizing victims
like packs of zealous dogs chasing their tails
whirlwind mania
no winners
no masters
only an exhausted reflection of a mortal world below
far

i like this
i'm not sure exactly what it all means, but enjoy it, it has a bit of morbid spirituality to it as well as a comment on society and the world today, which i really like. for some reason it reminds me of a few of the anarchist writers in a book i have works from emma goldman's "mother earth" this is really powerful the more i read it the more things i pick up on! it also seems to hint at the end of the world. my goodness, the imigary in this, "all children of the gods fall faint to a contagion of heart failure", "haunting romantic melodies fly the sky like cupid's arrows" and "only victims victimizing victims" it brings up such vivid images and ideas, wow what an amazing poem!
