Cold lace
melts upon my cheek.
The frigid air creates frost
with each breath.
Smoke billowing beyond oblivion...
Frozen rivers, cracked.
Dare to test the waters?
If I fell through
would you be there
to pull me out?
Denial chills
even the warmest intentions.
Goose bumps raise,
winter's path has been laid.

52 words is fine doll. I'm not that picky I love the imagery here. I also love the wording and the descriptions. Wonderful write.
