I sit here amazed
world spinning ever so fast
my mind is racing
my heart is pounding
everything is so bright
Darkness comes
and with it, my sanity escapes
once again, the voices come back
the horror of lost love
telling me it's my fault
I could have done better
I rock back and forth
wishing it would all go away
praying for daylight to come
to ease my pain & depression
of your painful memories
the drinking & constant abuse
I fall into a fitful sleep
your face is plastered into my mind
never going away
never - ending
never forgiving
Daylight comes
and with it, renewed energy
for today I shall beat my demons
I shall reward myself
for I was not in the wrong
I loved you
it was you who didn't love me enough

Very nice climax and ending. I always love seeing someone overcome their own emotional turmoil. If just one of us is stronger, they can help the rest of us look up a bit more, y'know?
