Our dog

We have a dog that thinks he is good.
He chases cats like a good dog should.
When he catches them he has some fun
because he tickles them in the sun.
He guards our house with a fearful look
and as a bonus he can even cook.
I know to look he isn't much,
you might even say he is not very butch.
and if you insult him, which I am sure you won't.
He would tear you apart, so make sure you don't.

      Thank you for your comment xx. To be honest he is nothing like the dog in the poem. He is 14 years old and going blind. he even lets our 3 cats boss him about, but we love him just the same.

    Your rhyming is great in time...but 'much' and 'butch' just dont work for me if you want some constructive critism.
    Loved it in whole though

      Thank you. When I wrote it my other half thought as youdid about much and butch(but it is my poem and it stays). To hell with everyone(JUST JOKING). It was really kind of you to comment on it.

    I love the ending! I will make sure not to insult your dog. Maybe I'll invite him to come and chase my cats lol. thank you for entering, this is very cute. The rhyme and flow are good also.
