The journey of life is long, but oh so worth it!

The knight stood atop a hill
His armour piled next to him
Sword laying the ground
As he looked outward onto the battle field
His heart beating like war drums
He reached for the locket hung from his neck
The picture of his parents
With his eyes closed in prayer he gripped it tight
In the distance he could hear the familiar sound
Looking outward on the battlefield he saw an army emerge
His heart sank as the odds stacked against
He shrugged as he knew it had to be fought
He put on his armour

This journey of life is long
Sometimes you have to walk
Sometimes you have to learn to fly
And sometimes you have to fight
It has to be lived

He had finished putting on his armour
He took one last long look around the battle field
The army of his enemy great in number
He kneeled and lifted his sword
The familiar feel of duct tape with his gauntlet
His armour fitting snug,
Proud of his creations
Praying to his God
He felt a sense of peace
What had to happen was about to happen
No matter the outcome he would be victorious

This journey of life is long
Sometimes you have to walk
Sometimes you have to fly
Sometimes you have to fight
You are never alone in this

With God’s strength he stood
Picking his sword and great hammer up
There he stood atop the hill
A familiar sent flowed through his nostrils
He smiled
A samurai walked up beside him
His armour carefully hand crafted
Similar in material as the knights
Same as the kitana and ninto hung at the samurai’s side
The samurai clutched a long staff
A mighty padded blade upon it’s top
They both smiled at the battle that would come
Enter the monkey the rogue
His weapons were his own design
The rogues’ clothes matched his elegance for weapons
All three of them had achieved much
Their padded weapons thirst for battle
It would take all three to achieve victory

This journey of life is long
Sometimes you have to walk
Sometimes you have to fly
Sometimes you have to fight
The fight is long, but oh so worth it

They had lived great lives
Understanding of what was to come
Brothers till the end
Laughter could be heard behind them
They looked back as two paiges came walking up
One carrying a pair of well crafted maces
A bow slung across her back
The other a large staff to which she gracefully twirled
Neither of them would fight this fight completely alone

This journey of life is long
Sometimes you have to walk
Sometimes you have to fly
Sometimes you have to fight
Only history will tell the tale

The knight raised his sword high into the air
The Samurai followed with his spear
The monkey gripping his tighter and raising his blades
The paiges following with a grin
The familiar battle cry echoed around
The three brothers charged down the hill
History will tell the tale of victory
Those who are left standing will tell the tale

I would have dedicated it to the whole team, but that's just me. I guess you had a small advantage, considering it's quite obvious that it was you who wrote this. You know my weaknesses

Thanks for entering, though, my dear.
