Love is a compatable vibration
brings feeling you can't understand,
it cannot be taught in a classroom
or bought with a wedding band.
Love can last for a fleeting moment
or allow you a lifetime of joy,
and it doesn't discriminate between us
it applies to a girl or a boy.
Sex is a chemical reaction
from the body but not from the mind,
in society they call it making love
but that kind of love makes you blind.
Sex is only a part of love
if you're in love at the start,
for sex just relieves the body
but love satisfies the heart.
Some people go looking for love
like some kind of Holy Grail,
but love is a gift that comes to you
if you search for it you will fail.

I love reading poetry on love since that is my major struggle right now and you pretty much sum up what we all are afraid of. How do we express love, is it by making sweet passionate sex, by using your heart who knows. I think that you put all of us love searchers in our rightful place with this poem. We often wonder why it just wont work and here you tell us, because we are searching for something we should be WAITING for. Now I'm like duh! But i cant get past the fact that I cant wait and I want it but like you said I will proably fail until I listen to wise words such as these!

I think you have a great impeession of what love is about.You spoke your feelings well and you were easy to understand.Your rhyming was very good.It did not sound forced at all.If I were to revise this poem I think that I would ask for the readers point of view and how they interpret love as you do or as someone disallusaned by what they thought of love they thought that it should be.Any ways great job I enjoyed reading this.

You are so right.. It comes straight from your mind that sex in a chemical reaction on the note of physical feelings but not from mind... well said.
