Slowly waking up
From a good night’s sleep
I realise you’re the one
Who’s on my mind, my first thought of the day
And over the past week or so
You’ve been on my mind
And you’ve been the topic
Of conversations with those close to me
It’s like I took 10steps forwards
But 6 back
And I can’t explain why
I thought I was getting somewhere
This wave of confusion
Hits my mind
And it’s like a fog
That just won’t clear
Those in my life who despise you
And you, yourself
Will never know
Everything, if anything about this confusion you cause.
