abrasive wind
  doesn’t differentiate between
what deserves to stand
and what deserves to be crushed;
        carried away by the elements;
        lost?

  I run -
an Andalusian dog
  away from the revelations
of the chaos of reality of my life of my brain of my feelings
of perceptions that can somehow turn out to be
  horribly inaccurate
Oh, Inverted World

I can bother myself with clichés -
familiar questions of purpose,
future, the grand scheme of things

instead I busy myself
with the apparent importance of the lit
  cigarette in my hand,
reading obscure philosophy
and buying its characters breakfast,
inviting pain into my life

  it replaces conflict

which replaces fear

  which substitutes hatred

which implies…
