Crème brûlée, Maillard reaction,
sitting there so cold and squat.
Can't you get no satisfaction?
Ain't your Mick a fan or what?
Ramekin of custard cream,
what you need's liqueur's hard sheen --
blowtorch brings Brown Sugar round.
Sticky spoons will toast The Queen--
brand you with the Trinity.
sitting there so cold and squat.
Can't you get no satisfaction?
Ain't your Mick a fan or what?
Ramekin of custard cream,
what you need's liqueur's hard sheen --
blowtorch brings Brown Sugar round.
Sticky spoons will toast The Queen--
brand you with the Trinity.
Author notes
According to wiki, "burnt cream" is said to have been introduced at Trinity College, Cambridge in 1879 with the college arms "impressed on top of the cream with a branding iron," though some cookbooks claim much earlier British origins for the dessert.
I think I read that Mick Jagger's daughter goes (or went) there.
