Marriage to me is the sharing of life
both good times and bad between two Souls.
Its Sunday walks
holding hands
sharing an ice cream cone.
It’s watching and sharing
As a new life is born of your love.
It is worrying
over your child’s first teetering steps.
Its pride
as your child wins her first spelling bee.
Its fear
As you listen to the radio
and hear that there has been
a shooting at your child’s school.
Its tears of relief
As you, learn
That your child is safe
in your arms.
Its peace
as you sit in your favorite chair
watching as your grandchildren play
you smile
as you look at that elderly woman
sitting beside you
and remember
the past and wish
you could live it all over again.

A very simple piece and yet it is so strong in your believes. I adore your use of children bringing two individuals even closer still. This is a very soft and yet impacting piece. It flows very nicely and it tells a lot.
"Its Sunday walks

I can picture this! In fact, I can picture almost everything of what you write here. Why? Because I have seen it. :] I have seen this occur many times, especially with the children. Good luck! ♥
