but I see it all in a different hue!

You tell me that Barack's an Obammunist,
     a definite card-carryin' red -
I'd rather be red than a JimCarthyist,

    Yes, yes, very clever... sort of... perhaps maybe if one squints.

    1.) Wouldn't it be a Sar-Palinist? Sal(?)
    2.) Take Clarence Thomas, Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell (all black) -- assign them to Pres., VP and House Majority Leader in any combination and I'd vote for that ticket in a Diebold nanosecond.

      1.) "Sal" is the diminutive for "Sally", which is in itself the diminutive for "Sarah". I wondered if you would get that, but obviously not. Hmmm... I guess "Sal" in the US is short for "Salvatore".

      2.) I'm not calling you a racist - heaven forbid - it's just that the guy IS black (well... brown) and the poem's about colours.

      Jim, you put yourself "out there" with this contest. In that context, I am honoured to receive one clappy. Not bad for a piece of doggerel dashed off in a moment of sleeplessness, I think. Thank you.
