Simple Regrets

You slap me around,
break me down,
gonna take that bottle,
and break it in your face.

I don't hold back,
don't hold my tongue,
don't hold onto you,
you'll regret,
everything I've been through.

back down baby,
I've been waitin',
wonderin',
when you were gonna get home,
pull off your pants,
and beg for my disgrace,
how do I taste baby?
As you bang the babysitter,
i'm cooking dinner,
hoping for once,
I could get out of here.

I should have listened to my mother...

Author notes

Oh yea you did get me for sure! But don't worry, I don't think that would have been such a bad thing after all..

This piece is full of anger and pain. It has a great combination of actions, and then your thoughts on them. I think the format did a lot to the piece, and the order of events made it flow. I loved this line especially:

    "I don't hold back,
    don't hold my tongue,
    don't hold onto you,
    you'll regret,
    everything I've been through."

This is a powerful stanza. Its made of courage and valor. And I am sure that piece of shit did. The last line was the perfect closing. Good luck! ♥
