"The Ultimate Sacrifice"

Missing image
Upon a cross, our Savior
was being crucified.
A 'Crown of Thorns' upon His head.
A puncture in His side.

Spit upon and beaten;
His skin torn from his frame.
Ridiculed and chastised,
persecuted without blame.

In 'Agony', He suffered
such a horrifying death
and murmured, "It is Finished!"
with His tortured, final breath.

Some gambled for His garments,
while many others cried
as they watched His Crucifixion,
He forgave them as He died.

Heaven's sky had darkened
with its foreboding storm.
"Truly, He's the Son of God."
a soldier said, forlorn.

Placed within a lonely tomb,
His body, now would lay.
Alas, aft three days have passed,
the stone was rolled away.

Our Savior's Resurrection
was seen before their eyes.
His Mission of redemption
complete for you and I.

He is the very reason
we have joy to celebrate.
The 'Lamb of God' has risen
and for us, He now awaits!

With all the Easter Bunnies,
I would like to say--
"Remember 'Christ' on Easter!"
"He's the reason for the day!"
